To answer the underlying question, did Obama raise the bar on political advertising and the use of social media? Absolutely.

Aside from the campaign website, when you isolate the campaign's presence on YouTube as a platform for social media, you will find that Obama's YouTube channel added just shy of 1,800 videos during the campaign, compared with McCain's 329. The YouTube channel for Obama had 114,500+ subscribers, while McCain's channel had a little over 28,400. When you compare Obama's 18.4 million channel views, to McCain's 2 million, the application of social media in the political sector will change the way campaigns unfold.

Once the election for city attorney is over, I can share more specifics relative to our company's use of social media, as well as, a preview to new plans which raise the bar even higher.

This one makes me think she’s going to be a talk show host or have a new investigative reporter show.

I think the Obama campaign did raise the bar in a lot of areas. I’m sure we’ll see a lot more stuff like this ad.
