Have You Tried Cooking with Web Video?

The old saying goes “a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Well I wonder if the same can be said about reaching his wallet?

Cooking shows have been around almost as long at television, heck they even made a whole TV Network dedicated to food and marketers have been using them to showcase their products and services just as long. Remember Betty Crocker?

Now cooking shows are making if off the small screen and onto the tiny screens with web video cooking shows and TV cooking shows spread all across the Internet.

Say hello to Average Betty. While I was at the big TV syndication show I ran into Average Betty herself (Sara O’Donnell) and asked her about her show.

I also ran into Bravo’s Top Chef Richard Blais and got a quick interview with him as well.

Have you used a cooking show to market your product or service? Do you have any tips for other marketers who are thinking about using Internet cooking show to reach their consumers?

FYI

FYI I got to be on Average Betty’s Fast Food Five with Obama Girl Amber Lee Ettinger, Scam School’s Brian Brushwood and DadLabs Clay Nichols.

  • Are you seeing any new sponsors or advertisers move into the marketplace this year?
  • Tim, It's always a pleasure to be in your company and a total honor to be included on your blog. You were great in the Fast Food Five!

I really believe there are a lot of opportunities for advertisers in online Food Entertainment, especially in the current economic climate. More people are staying at home, enjoying online content and cooking for themselves.

    Thanks for the opportunity!
